calligraphy classes with blue eye brown eye
We couldn’t be happier to host another workshop with the oh-so-talented Lauren Essl from Blue Eye Brown Eye Calligraphy. Come join us the weekend of September 11-13th and experience the fun of calligraphy. Your class fee includes three full hours of hands-on instruction plus all your materials, snacks and a 10% in-store discount the day of the class. You will be delighted and amazed at how much you learn. Come ready to soak in all of Lauren’s talent, expertise and bubbly personality.

LOWERCASE/BEGINNING CALLIGRAPHY CLASS – $185
Fee includes: 1 oblique pen | 3 Zebra G nibs | pot of ink | washi tape | tracing paper pad | practice alphabet and grid | extra goodies and surprises.
This class is truly meant for beginners – if you’ve never picked up a calligraphy pen before, Lauren will go over the basics, including dipping your pin in ink, understanding ink flow and pressure, basic script letter forms, and developing your own lettering style.

UPPERCASE/ADVANCED CALLIGRAPHY CLASS – $195
Fee includes: 1 oblique pen | 3 Zebra G nibs | pot of ink refill | 1 tube of gouache | washi tape | tracing paper pad | practice alphabet and grid | extra goodies and surprises
This class is intended for those who have taken Lauren’s beginner class, or have taken a course before using an oblique pen and pointed nib. You will learn the uppercase alphabet, go over using colored inks and mixing gouache, practice writing words and connecting letters, and touch on addressing envelopes.
Saturday, September 12th 10:30 am – 1:30 pm
All classes will be held at chirps & cheers in Midtown OKC at 1112 North Walker Avenue. There is parking behind the building.
